The Best Huntsville Apartments
So I’m currently trying to save up for college. My parents will probably pay for most of it but I want to at least pay my own rent. I’ve looked up the prices of dorms and local apartments and I already know how much I need to save up for rent. But what I need to figure out is how much I’ll be spending for food and shampoo and everything else. I can’t really ask my parents how much they spend because they buy food for a family and I’m just buying for myself. And also I won’t be buying meat and hopefully only organic. I live in California and I’m just wondering what all that stuff would cost me.
I’m not vegan I’m a vegetarian.
If you plan to live in a dorm you will probably be asked to buy a meal plan. If you don’t buy one you just need to estimate how much you spend on meals. If you’re eating 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, that’s 21 meals. I don’t know how much you eat nor how much you pay but let’s just say each meal is about $5. 21 meals a week that cost $5 a week would be $105, which would be around $400 a month.
That’s just an estimate because I know I myself could probably feed myself for less than that because I don’t eat a lot plus I don’t mind leftovers. I also live in Alabama which I would think food is a lot cheaper here.
As for shampoo if you’re the only using it you should be able to make it last. You really don’t need to shampoo your hair everyday, definitely shower daily but every other day I would just not shampoo it, unless you feel you need it. My hair doesn’t need it daily. Look for coupons if you can and buy in bulk. Shampoo isn’t that much and if you use the amount you should, it will last. I can make a bottle of shampoo last well over a month if I’m the only one using it.
